The Kauttua ruukki (eng. iron works) festival is the definitive summer destination for people interested in arts, design and crafts. Numerous exhibitions are built on the unique iron works area. There is art of Alvar Gullichsen in display, just to name one. The artist is the grandchild of art maecenas Maire Gullichsen and known for his Bonk art. You can also see some of the buildings designed by our national architect, mr. Alvar Aalto, by wondering around the festival area.
